'SAFE' - a project for young people

Stockport Youth Service in partnership with The Domestic Abuse Forum launched a project for young people aged 13+, who have experienced or are experiencing domestic abuse.

The project offers a supportive group for young people, with informal and social activities. The project will assist you to deal with your own personal issues. It will also provide advice and information and a safe place for you to have fun and get more confident.

The project is run by youth workers who will take referrals from workers, young people and family members.

The group meets on a Thursday from 4 to 6.00 pm at Youthful Minds, Covent Garden, Middle Hillgate in the Town Centre.

If you are a young person of minimum 13 years old, you are welcome to drop in.

"CHILD ABUSE by a MALE parent is 15 times more likely to occur in a home where Domestic Violence/Abuse is present…"
